I’ve had heaps of fun experimenting with those roses. I’ve made many now and still love doing it. I used Fiskars lace boarder punch on this banner too.

Oh and I’ve been experimenting with photoshop…
butterflymovementfancy
I took a photo of a blured butterfly and instead of deleting it like I normally would have I experimented with it.

  • I tinted the photo red.
  • put a sponge filter over the background.
  • put in the title and used fancy swirl lettering for the boarders.

My kids love making things with their friends! More prima carstock and journalling note page.

nzflora-debbiebuckland
I loved doing this page. more experimenting with crushing my own gardenflowers directly on the page. (bottom right corner) – “natural inks” lol I used a bit of prima carstock here and velvet leaves.

glitterswirls

1 min 45 sec long

You can stick them on a project with clear glue, brads, eyelets or foam adhesive with a flower ontop to hide it.

Below are examples of where I used them on my layouts….

Show-n-tell day!

February 17, 2009

I’ve still been creating and no slowing down here!

First we have the art……

abstractflowers
The above is having a go at a new technique I learned on Wetcanvas.com with watercolour paints. Its using and painting negative space to have a painting. The lesson is found here.

finalprint
I also did a lino cut of some sand dunes. Well they ended up more like wood grain to me but no problem I can still use it with my scrapbooking. ;) I printed it onto toned cardstock with two different colours of inks at once. With groovy results! This was the print making challenge for Feb from Wetcanvas.com click here to view it and see what others have done.

littleknitter

The above is the finished painting of “the little knitter”. I’m really happy with her and hope to do more paintings in the future in the process I did. ie: dead layer first then colour wash layer afterwards.

I am also starting to paint a portrait of my kiddos.
This is my photo referance….

doctored2
it is fully a photoshop job on this photo. Have a look at my process of painting it on wetcanvas.com I have a WIP thread there explaining how I’m approaching this painting. I’ll be doing it with acrylic paints on 20×24 inch canvas.

Above is my latest page of my altered calender. I’m keeping the original photos and original text and covering the actuall calender part up. The black represents death. the green represents life the bling represents the tears of Christ.
Using hand stamped cardstock and hand made flowers. With hand made clear glitter swirls.

luke6-10

The above is another page of the same album.
I used hand acrylic paint stamped cardstock. Plasterers/joining tape and other odd stuff from my stash.

artjournal

I started my own art journal too. Its an altered cd holder. ;)
here I used cuttle bug butterfly and flower cut out on plain cardstock with plasterers/joining tape over the cardstock. Cloud9 letter stickers. scrap bit of netting from grocery packaging and a bit of paper with watersolouable pencil on it. Under all that I had sanded the tin then finger painted on it with white acrylic paint. I’ve sealed it with Modge Podge.
