Oh I’m so overjoyed.
Its the first time a great scrapbook sale came up and I could go and spend money!!! Serious money!!!
Hubby will be starting work in September as a fully qualified Nurse. Ended is the 3 years of poverty by choice! yeee haaa! so glad he didn’t do a 10 year degree thingy! I wouldn’t be able to stand that one! Finally I might have a weekly budget for spending money for myself! ***crossing fingers****

Any way here’s what I got:

Got a prima paintables too. bit hard to see it in the photos.
A bit of bling, flowers, template, fancy blades for my rotary trimmer and heaps of papers, ribbon pack and some rubons.

Now what do I do with it all? hmmmmmmm

Oh I met some fab ladies while standing outside the shop waiting for the doors to open and gave out my business card to several. Some even wanted to know how to use the Ultra Shape Express and I said I can show them. Just waiting for phone calls now. Also told them about the Fiskateers. Excellent!!!

ahhh so little time and so much I want to do…… (your opinion needed at the end of this post)

First of all I have signed up to Hero Arts new site heroarts.com its full of ideas for stampers – on cards and layouts. I have also filled my wishlist to the brim…. ahhh there are so many stamps that I would love expecially these….

Those really take my breath away!!! And I no way can carve them myself. Oh but I soooo wish! lol

In the mail I got the above. The stamp is by a local stamp company called “Montaga Stamps”
Of which I have several of their stamps. Just brilliant images to work with.
Any way I won this pack from Savanah – a really delightful and talented young cardmaker on you-tube which also happens to live in the same town I do! Awesome aye. And we met on you-tube! funny that. Go check out her channel she is awesome. She does draws every now and again to her subscribers. The card in the picture is one that she has made. I love how she put the brad in the button…. what a brilliant idea!

Now I don’t show you my crafting spot to much but this is what state it is in at the moment…..

Mainly that is where I throw anything that needs putting away or needs doing…. hmmm I should really put away stuff and do some other stuff. lol

Such as life as a mother….. hobbies go out the window when the kids are at home with colds and flus and such and when school holidays happen – I guess. This being my first school holidays with my kiddos. Then there is me – not feeling too good either for the last week and a half. grrr hate the winter. Well summer is almost here and its going to be good.

Your opinion needed please…

I’m working on two things………
I want your opinion.
I know there are a few lurkers out there that keep looking in from time to time. This is where I want you to comment.
What is your opinion?

Number 1:
I might offer a class package… 2-3 times a year?

• it will include all consumables to be posted to the participants for a fee to be paid via pay pal. Not sure how much yet but I’ll try to keep it under $20USD. Will include postage/packaging of pack.
• exclusive access to a you-tube how to video that only paying participants can see. (you must be signed up to you-tube and a “friend” of mine before I can let you have access to exclusive videos.)
• limit of 7 participants allowed.
• I might include a small stamp of mine that I’ve hand carved…. hmmm not sure yet…

Number 2:

Starting up a stamping/craft business…..

• I’ll sell my hand carved stamps mainly and some of my own crafts via the internet (sell-able to every where around the world) Thinking of selling via smallfish
• All stamps will be one offs. (if copies are required they will be slightly different… ie: a copy of a flying bird looked like a dove in one and an eagle in the other).
• All stamps will be carved rubber or lino. Not mounted to avoid the customs restrictions in some countries. Rubber ones can be mounted on wood/or acrylic blocks with repositional tape. Lino stamps best used when wood mounted by purchaser or put through a device like a Cuttlebug.
• Custom stamps will be available via request.
• When will I start up? I’m thinking about November 2009 (this year!)

ok so what do you think about my ideas?

Hello all.

I’ve been a bit under the weather lately…. a cold but still creating….

This is the outside of my card….

And the inside of my card….

This is my take on a pop up card by stampin up. No I have not bought the die from stampin up.

****Shhhh**** I recreated the pieces, from the orginal die cut picture, cut them out by hand and constructed the “cake”
sorry but I cannot post the file here on my blog as I’ll get into trouble with Stampin up. Even though I will be giving it away- it will not be fully ethical to do that – aye. Even though the Prima lolliepop flowers are all over the internet on how to make them. Agggghhhh Not sure what to do so I won’t post it up. If in dought don’t do it -right.

Anyway here is a layout I did the other day for a challenge at Bad Girls.
They are doing bleuprint challenges every week. This week is going off a sketch and a collage of photos to do with old rusty gates and fences. Very inspiring!

The flower/swirl is actually wood Kaiser craft embellishment. I made it look like rusty metal by painting it and sprinkling clear glitter over it and then adding JudiKins diamond glaze over it in spots. Quite effective.

This is my no angle layout for the challenge over at If Its Groovy

The cardstock is hand painted/stamped by me. The fairy is cut out from 1970′s kids story book. The vine is from a second hand store for next to nothing in a hug bunch of other fake flowers. I just sprinkled it with glitter glue. The lace is from an old top. I also added some Tattered Angels butterfly and birds. The swirl is from Kaiser craft wood piece. I filled the heart with glitter glue and JudiKins diamond glaze.

I had heaps of fun experimenting on that layout!

I really wanted a fance vase stamp and had none! I couldn’t believe it – only a plain boring vase stamp…. but then started thinking….

Maybe from this stamp set I could make a vase:

Baby shower gift and tag

I was contacted online about a friends baby shower….. 2 days before the actual event.
Oooops should have known it was going to come up but I hadn’t got anything…..

Lucky I have some fabric scraps so got to work…..
and made my first fabric doll in years.

I did the hair and body different from the original pattern by Judi but it is generally the same thing.

Now for the gift tag:

I used the distress technique in the background and stamped ontop of it…. And guess what? It fits right into Tuesday taggers challenge for this week!. Groovy aye. Hurry ends Tuesday. click here to go to Tuesday Taggers.

Now the doll took me 6 hours from start to finish (not including the time on the net looking for a simple dolls pattern) and the tag took about 30 min. Not bad for a last min pressie. I also put the doll into a cane basket and put into it some scrap goodies too. All of which I had lying around the house unused. groovy aye.

Dresses and Celery

Oh I was wondering trough You-tube as you do and found a great video showing people how to use Celery for stamping background papers.

And she has there another great video on how to do a wedding dress embellishment. I down loaded it and experimented with the file. I ended up making a few extra templates. With her permission I can post it up here…
DressesTempate

Now I also painted up a glass to make it into a tea-light candle holder on Tuesday night. It was art group. The art group gets together once a month and we all talk, do an activity, pray, have show and tell.

here are some close ups:

This card used the original dress template. I did something similar but made it into a ball dress instead of a wedding dress.
Cardstock is from Midnight Kisses – Heidi Grace range.
lace from an old top my next door neighbor gave me.
heidi Grace ribbon.
pink glitter.
I had printed the dress on sticky back paper and used the sticky side for adhering on the lace and glitter.

This is my dress template now – the original I traced.
This is also printed onto sticky back paper but have stamped on the non sticky side with my Kaiser Craft stamp.
Outlined the stamp with my daughters smelly gel pens. and added ribbon.
Cardstock and sticker by Kimberly Polosen – Natures flora range

This is my celery stamped paper. I used red and gold paint by Atelier.
3D sticker and cardstock by Heidi grace – midnight kisses

This is my tea light candle holder. considering it was free hand and my first time painting with glass paint I did well – lol!
I did the red runs on purpose…. truly I did! No really!
