Here is the latest card I’ve done from “There’s Magic in the Air”
This week the image is of a cute little caterpillar called Eldon.
Challenge is to use him with ribbon and a bow.
I printed him out twice. Once for a mask to put over him while stamping some tiny flowers over his body.
Then coloured with inks and water-soluble pencils.

I made the flower and leaves too.
Eldon is cut around using Boudoir decorative scissors by Fiskars.

I also made these Stamping reference books:

made with Heidi Grace papers. and punched out bite marks with the Fiskars scallop circle squeeze punch.
One is for a friend. The other is for myself.
They will be used as reference books on different techniques to use stamps.
Always good for a reminder.

with only a few weeks to go I have packed up a few things…. albums, paints etc
I just hope I don’t dig it all out again to do another project! lol

Before:

Well I am trying. I have reduced a bit down.
Taken the extension off the table.
Packed a heap of mini Albums, Acrylic paintbox, how to books/folders and such.
Reference materials, Taken stuff of the walls, thrown out some “things I’ll recycle someday” items. That was about (6 supermarket bags of stuff!!!) eeek!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure if I’m going to reduce it down more.

Oh I re-looked at the place we are going to rent today in the daylight…..
Good news is that my scrap spot has a place to go….
Bad news….. it is going to have to be smaller and more compact than my current spot.

The other thing I am concentrating on is scrubbing walls, floors, cavities were amenities are, light fittings etc…. Megga fussy spring clean. Took me 1/2 a day to do half the kitchen!!!! I’m being over megga fussy about it so that the current landlords have nothing to complain about when we finally hand over the keys on the 21 October. Over megga fussy being me hand scrubbing the floors/walls like they used to do in the old days. Thinking of getting a smaller brush to do the corners etc.

Just can’t help myself…..

The amount of times that I’ve been packing and unpacking is ridiculous so I think the scrap/art stuff will be packed properly very last of all.

I found an awesome new blog called “There’s Magic in the air”
They not only give you a digital stamp to create with but a challenge.
This weeks digital stamp is a styley Deco Flower
The challenge is to use the digital stamp and put embossing on the card (dry or heated)

Here is my card: I dry embossed with my fiskars embossing tool (freehand)

I also wanted to put my card sketches down on something for a while and I was watching my you-tube subscriptions and came across a tutorial for this:

its a booklet of my own card sketches.
Finally done.

Tutorial – quick storage idea

Ok so I can’t stop it…

I hand an idea just had to show….

I’ve been eating a bit of chocolate as of late and these plastic containers are from the “Ferrero Rocher” chocolates. “small container” thinking of getting a  large one….

Before I digress here is the quick tutorial….
step1:
get some flat packing foam and press your container in it.

Step 2:
press it down into your container

Step 3:
press your kindy glitz or other glitter glue bottles into your foam…. upsidedown

larger bottles however will not say so just stand them as per-usual at the back.
This ensures that the glitter glue is already at the tip for you to work quickly.
No banging the bottles to get that glitter glue to the tips. Its already there.

Ok so I said I wasn’t going to do any more posts. As I thought I’d be busy packing etc
3 weeks till the big shift.

But I have been creating…..

My lastest doll. Yes she needs a top and some accessories yet but shes nearly done.

My latest greeting cards…

Used Fiskars corner rounder, XL circle, Funky heart squeeze punches.
Repeated the Autumn leaves swirl stamp in a circle and used the edge of another stamp to get the scallop look on the circle.

The above is a new awesome fiskars stamp I did however put the Kaiser craft flowers over the large flower in the design and used Kindy Glitz to put a bit more colour in it.

Once again I used the autumn leaves swirl stamp in a circle and used the flower stamp properly in the punched out circle. Then applied the small blossoms with small silver brads. I then added Kindy glitz to the card design to smarten it up.

Well thats it. Have fun creating…. till next time…
