But if you go out and buy some manila envelopes or cardstock you can cut your own! yee haaa!

Heres the template for you
*click on image to get a larger one
*choose file and print preview and adjust the size to 125%
*then print on A4 (printersized paper)
*then cut around the outside to use as your cutting template for your tags

these tags are approximate size of what Tim is actually using.

Stop the press!

November 21, 2009

Ok big Warning!!!!
If you purposely decide not to create anything for a week….. YOUR MOJO COMES BACK!!!!

So here goes…..

I had a brilliant idea…. spun off from a you-tube video of the same designed card…..

I used Versamark white stamp pad and stamped onto packing plastic (as at the time i didn’t have adheasive)… knowing it wouldn’t dry without help, I decided to dry the ink with my heat gun. Before I did though I added some embossing powder in parts….. as you seen the embossing powder worked but the plastic didn’t hold up….. bummer! lol Oh well great experiment. And I have some more ideas from it anyway.

Above is my new purchases….
Cuttlebug embossing folders 2 pack for $19!!! (bargain here in NZ considering one is $14!)
T-shirt transfer paper.
3 sheets of acetate – non heat resistant as the heat resistant wasn’t thick enough for cards.
Summer reindeer stamp (as Christmas in NZ is in SUMMER!!!)
White polymerclay
and my fave found!…..

Rangers new embossing tinsel!!!!!

the one I got is silver. Ok normal embossing powder looks dull next to this stuff! It SPARKLES!!!

using my two new stamps from Montarga stamps: flax weave and summer Rudolph

Fiskars: XL scallop squeeze punch circle, XL Squeeze punch circle, Fiskars brown ink pad, XL squeeze tag punch (for end of banner – dovetail) and Fiskars 12″ trimmer.

above card using my new embossing folder from cuttlebug and my new summer Rudolph stamp.

Another card using the heat embossing/white versamark pad onto plastic packaging (day before I bought the acetate sheets)
This one didn’t buckle. and worked out perfectly.
The clear packaging is down the bottom of the card. ;)

For about 6 months now i’ve been watching a few Stampin’ UP! demonstrators on You-tube and I finally had a chance to play with some stamps, rollers, inkpads, cardstock, punches etc at a stamping up night!

and this is what I made!

Box: it is stamped with a lovely scroll roller stamp, punched with a circle scallop punch, top embellishment made using: Joy stamp, circle punch and scallop circle punch.

Flower mini card and envelope made with: ripped cardstock, flower stamped image (sentiment masked off) I wrote my own. coloured in with stampin up markers.

Purple/green christmas card: scissors, dimensionals, stamps, ribbon, cardstock. with matching envelope of course.

I also made the above…
Scroll stamp used (red on red card), boarder punch, A very merry christmas stamp and the scallop square punch.

Now with the above i masked off the sentiment in the middle of the original stamp and stamped it then put another stamp in another colour on it in the middle instead. EXCELLENT!!! Thanks Trina so much for helping me out! it was a blast of a night.

Just this moment finished!

November 16, 2009

I’ve had several paintings hanging around for ages that I had painted. Some oil paintings some are acrylic….

What was I going to do with them?
They were just sitting around – not in frames. Just something I wanted to paint at the time and now not even gracing a wall. How sad….

But one day I was talking to a friend on the net via chat and I mentioned canvas and gesso and a sewing machine…. but nothing came of it because I didn’t have any canvas – so nothing happened for ages….. until just the other day, I was thinking about it again and though – dugh! I have got canvas! It was painted on…. and oooh I had something I could line it with too!

So I got to work.
First the idea – make a hand bag out of canvas paintings.
Second – how was it going to look. What shape?
Third – how was it going to latch together at the flap?
Forth – how was I going to put it together?

Well with all that thinking it took about 2 days of solid thinking about it.
Then there was the pattern drafting from paper.
Then the actual cutting and putting together.

I ended up with this….

canvashandbag

here are some more views of it….
canvashandbag2

canvashandbag3

canvashandbag4

and a found button…. the finishing touch….

canvashandbag6

I’m thrilled to have this bag…..
I’m happy that it looks so modern and groovy!

Oh the painting on the flap, front and back are of India. I went there in 1993 and still love the place. So this bag holds very very special memories for me in both experience, craft and art. Everything that I am.

Thanks so much for looking.

9:47pm now…. must go to bed – 6:30am wake up tomorrow. ;)

Just can’t stop it….

November 15, 2009

Christmastreecard

I found this great card tutorial from Jennifer McGuire – for Hero arts….
on you-tube
….. whats so cool about it?
I hand carved my tree stamp myself out of rubber.
Get plain clear gems and colour them in with your sharpie pens! (or other markers)
I’m so going to save money now that I don’t have to buy every colour. I already have every colour and just didn’t know it until now!
Thats one for the fugal page I think!
