Hi all, here is the next instalment of the party. The costumes.
For the Jedi’s:
All you need is two double sized sheets to cater for 8 six year olds! Amazing! I got hold of these from a second hand store…

Measured up my son and cut out 2 pieces of fabric the same shape as the following…

Cut along the solid lines in the above “pattern” once you have measured your padawan.
Along one side of the dark brown fabric I cut a 3/4 inch strip for the belt.
All you have to do now is attach the belt at the waist t the back of the tan piece. Pin and sew in place.
And attach the dark brown fabric, loosely gathered/pleated, at the shoulders. Pin then sew in place.

Cool aye and because of the size of the sheets I managed to get 8 costumes!
I have one girl attending… My daughter so here she is in the Princess Leia outfit… Without the buns for now… Will do that for the party..

Basically a white single fitted sheet. Same fold in half and head hole as the Jedi tan part. And the corner of the fitted sheet as the hood. And cut off at the waist. Simple tie Belt added. And the hood part is attached, gathered at the shoulders. Very quick and not perfect but I want quick and simple here. No seams where sewn… If they where it was the seams that the sheets originally had.
Hope this helps someone.
Happy crafting!
