Hi all
I wanted to get into paper marbling.
But didn’t have any oil paints for traditional paper marbling.
Neither did I have any cheap shaving cream to do shaving cream marbling.

So I got out my cheap $3 nail polishes. (Not kept in the fridge they are room temp) from 2cheap stores.
Some room temp water.
Plastic packaging.
Paper towels
Stick (end of a paintbrush or a kabarb stick)
White cardstock

Pour room temp water into your “tray”
Untwist the tops on all your nail polishes to loosen them
Cut cardstock the size of your tray
YOU NEED TO WORK FAST FROM HERE ON….

Put drops of nail polish in the water… It will disperse like the picture above. If not then your water is too warm.

Swirl your polish quickly with a stick.

Put cardstock on top of the tray.

Wait for a few seconds and then take your paper out of the tray. And you are done! Just wait for it to dry before you use it for your crafty project.

Here are more of my examples…

Well, at least I know what to do with my nail polishes if they expire (aka separate) or if I ever go off painting my nails. LOL

Happy crafting!

PS. and yes you can do a water marble manicure with the above method if you wish… You just need an old cup or something deeper. Takes ages and is very messy to do for your nails though. ;) good for an accent nail (ring finger only on both hands).
