Hi all
The other day I had to patch up my sons trousers…

Instead of rushing out to buy patches or pain steakingly trying to cut the same shapes for both knees i got out my fuse and the oval die and with one pass had cut two patches from my old jeans and stuck them to the trousers with fabric glue…
Heres how:
Thanks for watching…

Hi all
Here is my video demonstrating the Fiskars fuse.
I know I’ve had it since the beginning of May but it seams that this month was busier than expected.
Here is the shot of my video set up…

Thats right using my art easel as a “camera” holder for my iPad. The iPad is my camera and my editing equipment. So love how easy it is all on one device.
The fuse was bought by me. But yes i demonstrated it for fiskars in store a couple of weeks ago.
Till next time….

Hi all.
Use up your Stash segment has been put on hold…. LOL
I can’t believe how busy this month has been! But I will put together a new “use up your stash” kit for next month! (June). Demonstrating twice this month with new fuse and products at a local craft show. As well as school holidays. These things keep a lady busy. And I’m preschedualling every second day… Well trying. I’m trying hard to slow down!
These layouts below however use elements of the April/may kit….

Here is the first layout and yes I scrapbook in A4 size.

Most of the elements are from my kit. I added the heart and ribbon.
Word card stock is by rubyrock-it, acetate over lay with dandelion is by color bok, large flower hand made by me, small flowers by Prima, heart by Stampin up. (Artisan pack).

I added a lot of extras to this page…. The pearl swirls, background paper (kaiser craft) and hand made flowers by me, and the kaiser craft leaves diecut leaves.
Scallop circle cut out using the Fiskars fuse.
Well had fun Scrapbooking.
I might do more pages and actually film them…. Great news too… I have a speed up mode added to the app I use to edit my videos – yippee! So instead of completely slicing up all my vids like usual I can fast forward some of it.
just so you can see details that are boring in normal speeds but sometimes necessary to see.
Well till next time – stay crafty!

Hi
I think I have finally cracked what I want to do and broken past my ability as a Manga artist!!!
I have broken through a definite wall here with Tarla. This is exactly the style I want to do with all my future characters.
But notice here I have put her hands behind her back and cut off the picture at the hips… Two areas that I am struggling with are the legs and hands. But I am getting there… I just need more practice with those parts…
I think I can rest for a while knowing that my character has now developed into a great looking Manga character. Now to get her back into full body poses again.
She does look a little nervous so give her a warm welcome and some love.
Thanks for dropping by

Hi all
A group I belong to on face book sets a weekly mojo challenge…. One of them was alter a dress form. Or use a die which is a dress form in any type of project you want.
Well I had nether a dress form or a die of a dress form.
But I had a fanta (fizz) bottle.
After “forcing” my kids to finish off the drink (which really didn’t take much convincing) I rinsed out the bottle and put it upside down to drain and dry.
Once that was done I used the Jacquard Lumiere paints by pouring them inside and then again tipping the bottle upside down to drain. The paint took ages to dry inside the plastic bottle but hey that’s how experiments go I guess.
Then once that was done I cut some leaves and a flower into the top part of the bottle with my Fiskars fingertip craft knife and hot glue gunned on fabric and metal found goodies.
I took out the heat gun and randomly attacked the organza. And the results where just what I wanted.
I also had some dried paint from the inside of the bottle so I die cut it and embossed it for the butterfly on top of my mannequin.

I so loved how she worked out.
These are the items you too can buy from the online zigzag store that I used in this project….
Thanks so much for dropping by and hop on over to Zigzag.co.nz for some supples.

My haul…..

Shopped at Distressed threads, Aroha Vintage, Scrap it simple and Paper peacock stalls.
I also went shopping in town and bought…

Gelatos! (Warehouse Stationery)
Now i think i have everything i need for a while…. Until temptation takes me over again. LOL

Hi all
I have been watching Donna Downey for ages with her inspiration Wednesdays on her blog and love how she just does and goes with the flow as she works.
I also just recently took an online class from Itza Gomez on doing an art journal page.
This was my result but I did it on cereal box cardboard…

First layer was gesso, then masking tape/washi tape, then paint, and another layer of paint, after that it was using a stencil with molding paste, and then we sprayed it then used other stencils with paint, then added glitter, then coloured in some images (fish, shells, mermaid), and stuck them to the background. Added a layer of pearlex varnish to hold on the paper pictures and glitter. Then we added black marker lines around the images and white paint.
So many layers. So much fun!
Then I decided to follow those principals and to an art journal cover…

FWF = Fiskateers with faith – from the online group called Fiskateers. We have a monthly scripture challenge to do in any form we want.
Next page I did was challenge number 2 – I’ve already done challenge number 1 in another form.

My journaling is private and put into an inclusion pocket. It’s all about what I think of the scripture that’s on the Front of the pocket.
Here is my challenge number two completed… (They are actually up to number 10 so I’ve got to catch up on)

And something to muddle your mind… I flipped the book over. So that I can art journal with Terri Sprouls class on Tuesdays 6pm PST (NZ Wed 1pm) live at her youtube channel. She gives homework and asks you to post it on her facebook wall.
And my title page….

So yea that is the upside down side.
So that’s it for now for my art journaling.
I love this layering form of art. You maybe seeing more of this mixed media art form from me.
