on you-tube….. whats so cool about it?
I hand carved my tree stamp myself out of rubber.
Get plain clear gems and colour them in with your sharpie pens! (or other markers)
I’m so going to save money now that I don’t have to buy every colour. I already have every colour and just didn’t know it until now!

See I just can’t stop crafting!

My daughter loves her pin board.
But the fancies tacks/pins I can find are those plastic coloured handeled ones.

so i bought some polymer clay and got to work….

as you see you can go simple to complex as you want.

This tutorial shows how to make the “My little Pony” pin board pin….

You will need:

flat head pins (thumb tacks), different colours of polymer clay.
Red and white make pink – blue and white make like blue. I also used a little black.

1. Mix your colours. I used a little more white than blue.

twist, twist then roll between your hands. Fold up and roll between your hands. This both “conditions” the clay and mixes the colours. do the same with the white and red.

2. shape the head of the pony (kind of looks like a pig at this stage but don’t panic) lol

3. shape the body (a golf club shape without the handle)

put the pin in the back by placing the pin on top then get a blob of more white. flatten the blob then push it over the pin and blend to the back. Leaving the shaft of the pin showing.

4. put the head onto the body and fashion the eyes and indent the mouth and nostrils

5. Put on legs

Now to attach the legs and head etc
put the shape on the other shape – get a tool similar to an embossing tool and roll out the clay into the bigger shape.

6.shape some wings out of plain straight blue and add to body.

7. now we have a good base for our pony so lets give it a tail and a mane

roll out strips of your colours. Put them side by side.

8. attach some to the head and some to the bottom.

I also put on another pin in the wing. It was getting a bit big for just one pin at this stage. lol

9. Put decorations on the rump and legs. Now bake according to packet instructions and you have your very fancy pin for a pinboard!

The right bottom card is another you-tube lesson from Dawn (even though she used a punch for the snowflakes I used a Fiskars scallop squeeze punch and scissors.)

The flowers are a new style from Donna also seen on you-tube. (with the same Fiskars scallop squeeze punch)

So yes I’ve been spending some time on you tube having fun and learning some new skills.

Right better go kiddos/hubby needz attention.

Last project to show you is this one…

Think you’ve seen this before?
well you could be right. I did make one for a RAK a while back but it was lost in the mail.
I kindly made another one and just sent it off with tracked postage (my gosh did that cost a small fortune! $40!!!!)
and this is only as big as the palm of your hand!

just big enough to use on a 12×12 page and small enough to put on the front of a card.
Cool aye!

hmm just sent a tutorial supply list off to Charity (a reader)…. Thought I’d better tell every one about it so that you can get supplies together for future tutorials.

I’m leaping on here fast just to post up a few bitties for you to see…..

I’m working on some Graduation bears that my hubbies “class mates” ordered off me.
No I didn’t make the teddies themselves but made the grad garb thus far….

Yet to do the hood/scarf and the hats. Just a lot of hand sewing and fiddly stuff to go these bears are only about 8″ high.

I had two t-shirts.
One had a great pattern on the front but the under arms were definately to be desired.
The other was a good fit but had no design on the front and was very very boring to look at. And hardly warn.

So I combined the two and got the best of both worlds!

ok I had a moment. I’m actually reassessing my life and the use of the internet etc
That poll was a genuine question though and I appreciate all your awesome comments and the time to actually vote.

That said, I have decided to keep blogging but there will not be a weekly tutorial like in the past. There will be tutorials – don’t get me wrong. I love sharing my skills with you and passing on what I know…. for free, just for you my precious readers.

Right I’ve been busy….
Stamped my own patterned papers

Today you have already seen what I did with the brown snow-flaked paper.
The brown/green paper you have also seen in my “Flash” cat layout as well.
I have made cards out of my swirly Christmas paper x5 for my lesson that is coming up (2nd Dec. posted above)

I am a jump create contibutor this month.
Its a new blog all about Children and crafting. Brilliant if you have kids and need ideas.
This is the card my son made for that post that was at the first of the month.
Ok so he stamped I just mounted it on a card.

The article tells of the process my son went through to do the card.
By the way my son is 2 and 3/4 years old!
