for AGES I have been looking for apps that will help me in my Scrapbooking/cardmaking hobby on the iPad but also wasn’t really sure what I was looking for. And of course me being me I wanted it free or very cheap but good! lol
Well I have four scrapbooking/cardmarking related apps that I want to show you that I think worth downloading…. (this is not a paid presentation. Just something I want to do for you)…
The magnifying glass takes you too a list of things like “type of layout” “number of photos” etc When you tap on those titles you can choose how many photos you have and supplies then tap on the word “search” and within theory you get a layout sketch based on what you put in. But I haven’t found a layout yet that has come up. This could be a fault in the app. or I’m just too fussy – would be good if it worked. Or it is only the full pay-for version that has this option available? Who knows? full version costs $6.49 NZD at the time of typing this out.
By taping on the round arrows it will take you to….
the card sketch. Again the “supplies” word up the top right will take you to the supplies they used to make this card.
or just tap on the sketch and get a look at what they did….
Third app: “Scrapbooker” – this helps you to keep track of your supplies ($6.95 NZD at time of typing this out) – is classed as a iPhone app so you will have to press the little x2 at the bottom right of your screen to see it bigger.
Tap on “View Supplies” to get… oh wait they are my supplies!
To put your supplies in you will need to press the “+” on the top right hand of the screen.
Then you take a photo of it in the program itself by taping on the words “New image from camera” take the photo etc.
to put in the rest of your information drag your finger up the screen to find the other fields like “Name” “type” “color” “quantity” “pattern” “category” “store”
To delete any thing your put in swipe your finger near the object and a “delete” will come up.
Now as you see in my Equipment photos I have bunched up all my boarder punches together in one entry. I cheated. Same with my Supplies I put all my canvas shapes together in one entry. I listed them all indiviually by name in the notes section though.
As I was putting all my stuff into my iPad from scratch I got tired putting it all in, but it is well worth it, as when I go to the store I know what punches I have and I don’t double up. Or I know what type of papers I have now so I can match up embellishments or ribbons etc. Very very handy on a huge shop. Just need to glance at what I have. Or when someone recently wanted to borrow something I put in the notes who borrowed it – and their phone number (and my hit-mans number just in-case it didn’t come back…. lol no that is a joke!) – see very handy indeed!
I hope these reviews have helped you in someway to make your iPad work for you in the crafting area.
Well better go I have dinner to prepare or the troupes don’t eat tonight! Yes I typed this up in late afternoon, on Wednesday, then scheduled it.
